Real name: Aron Ra
Atheist activist and YouTube creator known for the Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism video series. Holds a BS in Anthropology from Arizona State University and formerly served as president of the Atheist Alliance of America.
Biography
Aron Ra is an American science communicator, atheist activist, and author based in Texas who has spent decades challenging creationism and religious pseudoscience on YouTube and at public speaking events. His flagship video series, Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism, systematically dismantles the core claims of creationist thought using evidence from paleontology, genetics, and evolutionary biology. The series has become a widely shared resource within skeptical and secular communities.
Ra returned to formal education later in life, earning a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Arizona State University in 2022, supplementing decades of self-directed study in paleontology and evolutionary science. Before his career as a secular activist, he worked in entertainment, including as a makeup artist for film and television in Texas. He served as president of the Atheist Alliance of America and has been a regular speaker at skeptic and freethought conferences across the United States.
Beyond YouTube, Ra hosts the Ra-Men Podcast and has authored books including Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism (2016), which expanded his video series into long-form written argument. He ran for the Texas State Senate in 2018, challenging incumbent Bob Hall on a platform that included science education reform. His work remains focused on the intersection of scientific literacy, evolution education in public schools, and the social consequences of religious misinformation.
